Despite its proximity to the city’s retail and entertainment districts Gion and Kawaramachi, the Ritz Carlton Kyoto sits on the quiet banks of the Kamogawa River and is the perfect destination for peaceful retreats. Rich elements of Japanese traditional culture and crafts are scattered throughout the hotel, fabricating an atmosphere truly unique to its location. All public spaces and guest rooms were designed by American designer Peter Remedios, and the restaurant spaces by Design Studio Spin. HOSOO luxury fabrics were supplied for cushions in the suite rooms and interior fabrics in the restaurants, Mizuki and La Locanda.
